Loving My Weight Loss Blog
It’s heating up across the country. If you are planning on heading outdoors for your exercise this summer, please do so safely.
Living next to a mountain preserve here in Phoenix, I observe many runners and hikers exercising outdoors in triple digit temperatures without any water with them. This isn’t too smart! Even if you aren’t planning on being out very long, it is better to be safe than sorry. Even on the small mountain near my home I have seen injured hikers that have had to be rescued and carried down the mountain.
Hiking in the mountains, early am every Wednesday has been awesome. It keeps me active, rejuvenated, focused, and motivated. Hiking is especially enjoyable with the Hike Master, Don. Always a treat! He is full of wilderness wisdom, hiking, 101, 102, 103… and, so well informed about life. The hikes go by fast.
Letter 1: March 28, 2011 I haven’t even officially started your diet yet.
Today I was approached by a woman who feels she has tried just about every weight loss approach known. She losses a portion of her weight initially yet never sticks to a program long enough to reach her ultimate goal. Her frustration continues to grow stronger with each attempt. As frustrated as she may be, I realize she isn't alone!
I believe most people fall short of their goals, whether weight loss or other, because of inconsistency. It is easy to do anything for a short period of time; however, the true test lies in the long term commitment.
Here's is a quick letter by Don, He is an amazing hiker, and his heart is pure of passion and full of hiking knowledge We are all honored to have him help out with Loving My Weight Loss. We are always looking for fun adventurous activities for our community to participate in and through this program; most individuals are starting to hike, finding friends to hike with and start hiking on their own multiple times per week. Loving life, loving their weight loss! It is working and we are excited.
Hello my L.M.W.L friends. The Question has come about. Just how much sodium are you supposed to consume each day? In answering this question it is important to know the function sodium plays in our body as an essential nutrient. Sodium is essential in small amounts. It helps in maintaining the right balance of fluids in your body, aids in transmission of nerve impulses, and influences the contraction and relaxation of muscles.
Hey everyone…..So I truly am loving my weight loss! This program is awesome! I have lost 12 pounds so far and I am going strong.
With the temperature climbing into the triple digits, I thought it appropriate to talk about the importance of water to our health. We have all been told to drink our 8-10 glasses of water per day. But do you really know all the benefits of drinking enough water?
I just weighed in at the end of week one. I lost 7.5 pounds! What a great feeling. I have not received my lab results yet but I am eating healthy exercising and have made some substantial habit changes.
Exercise and weight loss have been a staple in my life as long as I can remember. Never was I one of those "skinny" girls who could eat whatever they wanted whenever they wanted. My sweet grandmother used to try and make me feel better by saying "You aren't Fat, you're just big boned", as we shopped for jeans in the "Husky" section. That was tough at 10 years old. Later in life my body type worked for me rather than against me. When I was 21 years old I decided to test for the fire department, after successful completion of a 16-week fire academy, I became a firefighter for the Rural Metro Fire Department and stayed for three years.
My name is Dr. Niki Greenberg. I am very excited to be participating in the loving my weight loss Program. Watch my Vlog and join me on the journey to a healthier and happier life.
In my last blog I talked about the 10 rules for fat loss. Today I will get into more specific foods choices—what to include in your diet and which foods to limit and/or eliminate for optimal fat loss. Remember, you can have one free day in which you can eat whatever you want.
